Mutiu Yekeen

Head, Corporate Communications

Mutiu Yekeen is the head, corporate communications at Primero Transport Services Limited.
He is an experienced media and communications professional with over 13 years of post-qualification hands-on experience spanning media, public relations, crisis communication, content development (for print & online) and brand management.

He is proficient in journalism and Public Relations and has worked on brands such as MainOne, Savannah Petroleum, Seplat, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, Lekoil, Total, Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) among others.

Prior to joining Primero TSL, Mutiu was Acting Head of Media at Caritas Communications Limited, Lagos. He also worked as an Assistant Editor/PR Executive at Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), Abuja, Nigeria. Other positions he has held include:

  • Senior Correspondent, PostNet Communications Limited
  • PR Executive, Logica Communications Limited
  • Reporter, Sunshine DailyWatch Newspaper

Mutiu holds a master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and a first degree in the same field from Adekunle Ajasin University, (AAUA), Ondo State.
